One thing I learned that isn’t on the technical side, but still important, is to consider what information you might be leaking on social media. For instance, when there’s a company offsite/retreat, ask employees to refrain from posting about it on social media until after the event. You don’t want to tip off hackers that the whole company is going to have their attention diverted making them ripe for a physical or cyber attack.
