There comes a time when you need to see a specialist Doctor for certain rare conditions. The problem with these specialists is there are too many patients and too few doctors. Some companies who own robotic surgical tools are beginning to train these doctors to use their robotic tools to aid in surgery. A certain number of companies are training doctors to do remote surgery with the robot. Doctors who are on the other side of the country can do a procedure through a robot remotely. This can come with its own risks certainly (connectivity issues, DDOS,  spoofing the signals) But would you take the chance? Or would you rather wait 6 months to see a specialist. This could easily become the future of medicine.

I think in medicine we’ve forgotten a standard of care to include the human element. Sure, this is more efficient and may allow you to be seen and treated sooner. However, it eliminates the in-person face time with your doctor/surgeon. On the positive side, a lot of these types of surgeries do minimize recovery time and complications. For me, it would definitely depend on the severity of the issue and what other alternatives there may be-and then weigh the pros and cons for the best solution for my individual situation.

I believe everything has some advantages and disadvantages. Robotic surgeries surely reduce complications as well as are more precise in nature but are costlier. Also a machine is a human made element and hence is prone to malfunctioning. So one should see both pros and cons while considering robotic surgery.
